If the problem still exists after this last change, I am pretty confident that I must have a wheel bearing issue or some wierdness with my rotors. 075" of clearance between the rod and the cone in the MC. After taking a series of measurements, I confirmed that I have between. I reved the engine with the MC out to confirm that the push rod was all the way out, and it was. I did this last night and have not had a chance to test drive other than in my driveway after bleeding all the lines.īefore swapping, I confirmed that my output push rod was not too long. This replaced my 77 cadillac master cylinder perfectly at less than half the price! It is slightly wider and slightly squatter, but bolted right in and hard lines were in the same spot. Next I ordered a Master Cylinder from a 1977 Corvette as was suggested above.
In any case, that didn't solve the problem, lug nuts still very hot after 8 or so mile ride. They were a little long for my 4" lift, but might work for others that have more lift. I used stock rubber lines with extensions like these.
I replaced the flexible front brakes lines to rule that out.
